The Twelfth Imam – Joel C. Rosenberg
After reading The Auschwitz Escape, I wanted to read Rosenberg‘s other works. I picked the first book in the David Shirazi series thinking it was a thriller, or a spy thriller, like Gabriel Allon series. Well, it didn’t turn out to be quite the same.
There’s action and a solid introduction of the hero, David Shirazi. However, I find it more of a Christian fiction than a thriller. There’s definitely tension toward the end as the clock is ticking down, but there’s a lot of conversation about religion and such. I don’t mind it at all, just not what I expected.
Overall, I still find it interesting and entertaining.
