The Tattooist of Auschwitz – Heather Morris
I don’t know why, but I’m drawn to stories, fiction about WWII, the horrible Holocaust, and such. No matter how many books I read about it, I still can’t understand the sick logic of the Nazi. As I understand it,
We read about Lale leaving his parents and family; him nearly dying from illness; getting selected to be the tattooist; falling in love with Gita; witnessing senseless killings and unimaginable sufferings. I’d like to think God was watching over Lale. He survived, got separated from Gita and eventually reunited with her. Together they moved to Australia and settled there.
Worth reading!
