Bark of Night – David Rosenfelt

Hi again, you probably guess that I didn’t do much writing. I read instead.

Unlike the last two thrillers I just read, this one is funny and entertaining. Andy Carpenter, a criminal defense lawyer, is independently wealthy. (Wish I were that!) So, he doesn’t look for work. It’s the other way around.

This time, it starts with a visit to the vet with his dog. The vet tells him about another dog and so it begins. His curiosity leads him to a client who he believes is innocent. The courtroom drama doesn’t come into play until later. In between the time, we follow him around as he investigates and questions people.

I enjoyed it.

Talk later. Cheers.
